How to Connect to GlobalProtect (VPN)

Prior to connecting to the GlobalProtect (VPN), ensure the following steps have been completed:

 

Connecting to Global Protect

  1. Upon logging into the computer, on the bottom right corner of your screen, the Global Protect window should appear. If the window does not appear, press the globe from the following options.

  1. The following box should appear. If you have an HSC Account, the portal address is vpn.tulsa.ou.edu. If you have a Norman account, the portal address will be soonervpn.tulsa.ou.edu. After entering the Portal Address, Click “Connect”.

  1. Another Box will populate requesting a Username and Password. Once you have entered your credentials, Click “Connect”.

  1. Once “Connect” is clicked, a PingID Push will be sent to your mobile device to verify your request. Open the notification on your phone and tap “Yes”. Once approved, PingID will show “Authenticated”.

  1. Global Protect will change from gray to blue indicating it is connected.

Unable to connect? Here are some tips.

  • Temporarily disconnect your cellular device from Wi-Fi and use your cellular network.
  • Have the PingID app open and ready for the PingID push.
  • Check your PingID profile at link.ou.edu/pingID to ensure you are enrolled.
