Locked Account

OUNetID accounts can become locked causing the user to not have access to various campus sites. Here are some reasons this can occur:

  1. Password Policy – Users who have not changed their password in over a year will have their password expired.
  2. The password was recently changed password but a mobile device is still connected to your OU email with the old password, resulting in an incorrect password being used too many times.
  3. The account has been compromised due to phishing or malware, necessitating access be frozen by OU IT Security until the user is able to address the issue.

If you are unable to access your OU account and the site says your account is locked you will need to contact OU IT by calling 325-HELP (4357).

If you have forgotten your password and need to have your account reset, Please refer to this article.
