Your OUNet Account is your key to accessing OU technology resources such as email, enrollment, grades, course materials, computer labs and OU Libraries resources. Once you have been fully admitted to OU, your account will begin its creation process, please note this can take up to 3 to 5 days.

Set up your OUNet Account:
- Navigate to the Accounts Settings page at one.ou.edu.
- Click on “New to OU? Setup your OU account” and enter your OUNetID and Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) and then hit the "Identify account" button.
- Your OUNetID is made up of the first four letters of your last name, followed by four assigned numbers. Example: John Smith = smit0000. It will serve as your username for logging into OU systems.
- If you do not know your OU Net ID, click the "Forgot OUNetID?" link to retrieve it.
- Create a password for your account following the instructions and password requirements on the page.
- From the Account Settings > Security tab, you may also enter an account recovery email address (non-OU) where OU IT can send password reset information in case you lose or forget your password.
- From the Account Settings > Emergency Alerts tab, you may enter your cell phone number in the Add Alert area to be notified of campus emergencies.
