How do I pay for my order?

Please work with your department to confirm which payment method should be used. If you are using CFS you will need to check with your department on what CFS information they would like you to use. OU IT does not have billing account information and will not be able to provide guidance on which option you should select.

  • CFS (Preferred) - Upon order validation, an email will be sent to the approver connected to the CFS provided. CFS approvers are predetermined and cannot be set by customers.

    • If our system finds that the CFS provided is incorrect you will receive an email to let you know what our system found wrong with the CFS and a link to correct the CFS. If you have any questions about what your CFS is, please reach out to your supervisor, the business office, or your department's business office contact.

  • Credit Card - Upon order validation, you will receive an email that will include a secure link to submit your credit card information for payment.

  • SUR - This will be supported as a form of payment until January 2025.

  • During high volume peak times, it can take up to two business days to print.

Can I email my poster to Information Technology?

All requests should be submitted through the IT Service Catalog request page. IT will not accept e-mailed PDF requests. If a non-PDF file is submitted through the form, the service request will be rejected and a new request will need to be submitted with the proper file type.

What is the standard size of a poster?

  • Check your venue for size requirements.
  • Set the poster size in PPT before exporting to PDF and submitting your request. (on PPT ribbon bar, select Design tab and choose Slide Size to set the final size)
  • The most popular poster size is 36” x 48”, but size may vary by event.
  • Our printers use either 36” or 42” width paper/fabric. The length of the poster can vary.

Poster Resizing

Please note that Information Technology will not re-size posters submitted for printing. Please ensure your document file dimensions match that of the dimensions you request. If the file and request do not match, they will be flagged as having improper dimensions and may be rejected for printing. If you are unsure how to re-size your poster to the right dimensions in Adobe Acrobat, please try the following:

  1. Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  2. Go to File > Print.
  3. For your printer, select Adobe PDF.
  4. Click the Properties button next to the printer name.
  5. In the Adobe PDF Properties dialog box, click the Advanced button.
  6. Under "Paper Size," click the dropdown menu and select Postscript Custom Page Size.
  7. Click the Edit Custom Page Size button.
  8. Enter 36 inches for the width and 48 inches for the height. Click OK on all the dialog boxes to return to the Print window.
  9. In the main Print dialog, make sure Fit is selected under "Page Sizing & Handling." This will scale your content to the new 36x48 page.
  10. Click Print and save the new, resized PDF with a new name. This new file can be sent to a professional printer.
