Windows Updates

Note: For most OU owned devices, Windows updates will be managed by OU IT administrators.

 

Check For and Install Updates in Windows

Windows 10 and 11

  1. In Windows 10 and 11, Windows update is found within Settings.
  2. First, tap or click on the Start menu, followed by Settings.
    • Windows 10: Once there, choose Update & security, followed by Windows Update on the left.
    • Windows 11: Click Windows Update on the left.
  3. Check for new Windows updates by tapping or clicking on the Check for updates button.
