At the University of Oklahoma, protecting your account and personal information is one of our highest priorities. We need your help to ensure account security, as phishing attempts continue to become more sophisticated, and want to remind you of critical account security rules:
OU Information Technology (OU IT) will never email, text, or call you asking for your password, authentication codes, PingID approval codes, or any other account credentials.
Additionally, OU IT will never direct you to enter your credentials into a Google Form, Microsoft Form, or any other third-party form that is not part of an official University authentication process.
If you receive an unexpected message asking you to "verify your account", "prevent deactivation", "avoid email suspension" or "confirm your login information", treat it as suspicious. Do not click links, open attachments, or provide personal information until the message has been verified.
