To access from a patient chart in Epic

1. From Chart Review, Click on Historical Data. 
2. After clicking on Historical Data, the below opens with patient information. If the patient is not found by clicking the “Historical Data” button, enter the patient information to search manually.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Watch the tutorial first time you log in:

To search for the documents you must start at the Encounter tab. 

From the “Encounter” tab select the encounters of the documents you need to view.  (Notice the highlighted search bar.  You can restrain your search of encounters based on the highlighted criteria.)

          Do not click on the “Comments” to see the encounter.  Use the file path under “Documents”.

 

To see the documents for all of the encounters you marked, click on the “Document” tab and you will be able to see the Original document and any appended documents as well.

The “File Path” is where you will click to see the documents. 

If you need to print documents, check the box on each line you want printed and then click Export/Print. ​​​​​​​
