Important before Installing Respondus 4

1. Installation is only available for Windows operating systems.
2. The user account utilizing the software must have admin rights on the machine for it to be installed properly.

Steps for Installing Respondus 4

1. Download the current version of the software on the Respondus 4 page from the IT Software Catalog. You will be prompted to log in with your OU credentials.
2. When starting Respondus 4 for the first time, fill out the following campus-wide license information.
   1. Institution Name: University of Oklahoma
   2. Local Support Contact(s): learn@ou.edu
   3. Installation Password: Enter the current password found on Respondus 4 page from the IT Software Catalog.
3. Select Canvas as the LMS Personality

Steps for Publishing or Retrieving Quiz Data

1. When prompted to add new server settings, choose to enter the settings manually. 

2. When prompted to add server settings, add the information below
   • Line 2: Enter https://canvas.ou.edu/
   • Line 3: Select the Extract button to automatically fill the server connection URL.
   • Line 4: Enter OU Canvas in the Description field.
   • Line 5: Enter your OU user name and password, and check Remember my User name and Password.
