Overview
- From the Start tab in Respondus 4.0, select the Create button.
- Enter the name of file and a description.
- From the left-side navigation bar in the Edit tab, add a question in one of three ways:
- Select a Question Type.
- Select the Copy from Another File button.
- Select the Test Bank Network.
- Select a Respondus file, then select Open.
- Select the checkbox of the questions you want to add
- When all desired questions are selected, select the Add to End of List button.
- Optionally, refer to Page 12-13 of the Respondus 4 User Guide for Canvas.
- From the Start tab in Respondus 4.0, select the Exam Wizard button.
- Select Create a new exam and then copy questions to it from other Respondus files.
- Enter a name and description.
- Select a Respondus file, then select the Select button.
- Optionally, repeat step 5 to add up to 10 quizzes.
- Select a quiz from the dropdown menu.
- Select a question selection method:
- Automatic: enter a number of questions to select and how many points per question, then select the Add to End of List button.
- Manual: select the checkbox of the questions you want to add, then select the Add to End of List button.
- Repeat steps 7-8 for every file selected in step 5, then select the Next button.
- To save the Respondus file, select an Exam Wizard - Finished option then select the Finish button.
Note: Acceptable text file formats are TXT, DOC, DOCX, and CSV.
- Prepare your text file using the Standard Format for Importing found on Page 41-51 of the Respondus 4 User Guide for Canvas.
- Optionally, add all images needed for the Respondus file in a single folder.
- From the Start tab in Respondus 4.0, select the Import Questions button.
- Select the appropriate option from the Type of File dropdown menu.
- Select the File Name Browse button then choose the text file.
- If images are needed, select the Image Folder Browse button then choose the folder.
- Choose where to add the new Questions.
- Optionally, select the preview button.
- To complete the process, select the Finish button.
