Connecting to WIFI@OU

Additional WIFI@OU connection instructions by device

What is WIFI@OU?

  • WIFI@OU is the preferred WIFI network for members of the entire OU community.
  • It will require you to log in with your OU/OUHSC username and password.
  • This network requires devices that support WPA2 Enterprise level encryption and 802.11g specification or newer (802.11a/g/n/ac).

What about HSCACCESS and OUBASE?

  • Both OUBASE and HSCACCESS have been discontinued and replaced by WIFI@OU.

How to connect to WIFI@OU from your computer

  • For instructions on forgetting a wireless network, refer to the “Forgetting a Wireless Network” article.
  • From the desktop, select the WIFI icon. On the drop down menu, select WIFI@OU as the SSID.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Select Continue when the Verify Certificate prompt appears (see below for further detail).
  • Mac OS X will require you to update the Certificate Trust Settings. Enter your computer’s username and password when prompted. NOTE: This is not your OU/OUHSC username and password, and requires you to have admin privileges on your computer.
  • If you have changed your password recently and are now having difficulties logging in to WIFI@OU, one possible solution is to forget all OU WIFI networks.
