Windows 11 – How Do I Access Windows Update?

In Windows 11, the Windows Update feature has been removed from Control Panel. It can now be found under the system Settings area. To access Windows Update, do the following:

  • On your Task bar, search for Settings (System).
  • The Settings window will now open.
  • Click the Windows Update option.

Please note that OU Windows machines centrally managed by OU IT may not show system updates as available for installation. These updates will instead be installed automatically through the Software Center application.
