Webex Cisco Phone System

OU Phone System Transition 2026

OU is moving to an updated, modern phone platform that supports how people actually work today - on multiple devices, from various locations, and with greater flexibility. With OU's current phone system contract coming to an end, this transition presents a chance to embrace improved functionality to meet University needs. Visit Phone Transition Details for more information.

Webex Calling

1. Download the Webex Desktop App - Check the Self Service application on your desktop first. If Webex is not listed then use the link here to install the app.

2. (Optional) Install Webex on Your Mobile Device - Make and receive calls from anywhere.

3. Explore Your New Tools - Quick-start guides are attached to this article. They will get you up to speed fast.

4. Once your phone extension is converted, you can log in to Webex with your OU email address. Calling features will appear automatically. For ou.edu users, Webex is setup to use SSO and MFA with PingID. It does not require a VPN.
