Apple’s newest release of Safari 12 is removing support for running legacy NPAPI plug-ins other than Adobe Flash. To read more about it, click HERE.
Mac users who access Banner 8 INB will no longer be able to do so if they install this update. They will need to either use Banner 9 or install the Extended Support Release of Firefox.
The Extended Support Release of Firefox (ESR 52.9) can be found HERE.
If the user decides to go this route they have to make sure to change the options to select “Check for Updates, but let me choose whether to install them” in options in order to stop Firefox from updating automatically.
Note: The above link is for Firefox ESR 52.9. Firefox now exclusively supports extensions built using the WebExtension API. Unsupported legacy extensions (NPAPI) will no longer work in Firefox 60 ESR, but they will continue to work in Firefox 52 ESR, which will be supported until September 2018. Additional information is available HERE.
