Crowdstrike Update Workaround

**IMPORTANT** If your computer is operating normally, no further action is required.

An update released late Thursday evening, July 18th by CrowdStrike Antivirus affected computers and servers with Windows operating systems across the world. OU IT estimates that approximately 900 OU computers may still be impacted. Impacted users will experience a blue screen and be unable to start their computer.

What can I do if I have a Blue Screen?

For some users, a computer restart is all that is needed to remediate the issue. Please try to restart your computer.

  • If you are still unable to regain access to your computer, please complete this Device Support request and we will help as soon as possible.
  • If your computer is operating normally, please do not attempt to apply the workaround steps outlined in previous emails or notifications as this will result in further disruption to your computer.
