Installing Endpoint Protector (EPP)

Install Endpoint Protector (EPP) from Software Center

Most users won’t need to complete this step, as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) should recognize that the endpoint no longer has DEE installed and will automatically install Endpoint Protector. 

  1. Open “Software Center” and wait for the application “Endpoint Protector (EPP)” to become available. EPP application icon
  2. Click “Install” and wait for the application to download and install.   EPP with Install button
  3. After the application has Installed, it will prompt for a restart. EPP with Restart button
  4. Clicking “Restart” will immediately restart the computer, so check for and save any unfinished work first! Computer will restart message
  5. Once Endpoint Protector (EPP) is installed and receiving policy, you may resume using removable media (but you should consider OneDrive instead!).
