Please Note:
This is for your @alumni.ou.edu email address, not an @ou.edu email address.
When changing their alumni account password, some individuals may receive an error message informing them to “Contact your administrators”. This is most likely due to the fact that a recovery email address or phone number has not been set up. If you receive this message, please submit an Alumni Account Assistance service request. When submitting the request be sure to include proper alumni account verification.
To reset your @alumni.ou.edu password, please do the following:
Go to office.com, select Sign-in.
Select “Can’t access your account?”
Choose “Work or school account”.
Enter your User ID. This is your alumni email and most likely follows the format of firstname.lastname@alumni.ou.edu.
Then, enter the characters in the picture or the words in the audio.
Next, you will need to verify your identity using one of four possible options. Please note – it was not required that you set up all options when you set up your alumni email. You may not have all options available to you, but you should have at least one.
- Email my alternate email – this is the alternate email you entered when you set up your alumni email and/or added as an additional multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- Text my mobile phone – this is the phone number you entered when you set up your alumni email and/or added as an additional multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- Call my mobile phone – this should be the same number as option #2.
- Enter a code from my authenticator app - this would be a code visible in your Microsoft Authenticator app.
If you choose the email or text option, you will need to enter the verification code to continue. If you choose the phone call, you will need to follow the automated instructions on the call.
If you do not have access to any of the listed verification methods, please submit an Alumni Account Assistance form.
Once you have successfully verified your account, enter a new password.
