What is Employee Self-Service?
Employee Self-Service (sometimes referred to as "HR Self-Service") allows current and recently hired OU employees to view and/or update (when applicable) the information listed below. Please note, as the HR Self-Service site is ever-changing, there may additional information/services available in the site that are not listed here.

- Payroll Information
- View, save, and/or print your earning statements (paystubs).
- Enroll in or update Direct Deposit information.
- PingID MFA is required to complete this action.
- Set a wage beneficiary.
- Utilize a paycheck modeler to visualize how different changes might impact a final paycheck amount.
- Personal Information
- View and update phone numbers.
- Updates made to the campus phone number in this system will also be reflected in the other campus databases. This includes the online faculty / staff directory at search.ou.edu and the global address book available in Outlook.
- A campus phone number is required; cell and/or home phone numbers are not displayed to the public.
- View and update address information
- View and update emergency contact information
- View and update a preferred first name.
- Initiate a legal name change request for employment records.
- Tax Information
- Update federal W-4 tax withholding information.
- View and/or print duplicate W-2 wage and tax statements.
- Benefits Information
- Benefits elections and annual enrollment
- View your Employee ID (EMPLID) number.
Accessing Employee Self-Service
To access Employee Self-Service, follow the steps below.
- Ensure that you are connected to an OU campus wireless network (WIFI@OU), campus wired network, or the OU VPN.
- For more information about the OU VPN, please view our About OU VPN Options article.
- If you are not accessing the site while physically on the OU campus, you must use the OU VPN.
- Navigate to http://selfservehc.ou.edu/ .
- If you are unable to open the page successfully, please refer to Step 1.
Only current OU employees and recent hires will be able to log in in to HR Self Service. If you have been directed to log into HR Self Service to complete new hire tasks and are unable to do so, please reach out to your hiring manager or departmental contact to confirm that your ePAF (electronic personnel action form) has been initiated.
Former Employees Who Need Tax Information
Users who no longer work at OU that need to access W-2 tax information should contact Payroll. Access to this system is terminated the day after an employees last official day of employment.
