Note: As of August 12th 2024, Docusign has a charge per envelope completed. And in July 2025, we will bill for all users.

Docusign is a cloud-based electronic signature service that allows users to easily send, sign and store documents, contracts and other agreements in a secure, online location. Access Docusign from your desk or on the go to track exactly where documents are in the approval process and receive notices when documents have moved on to the next round of approval. With Docusign, the entire approval process can be managed electronically, saving lots of time and paper.

Cost

Docusign is a paid service for all users and the pricing is subject to change for each fiscal year. Updated pricing in new contract for Docusign for FY 26:

  • Envelopes are charged $4.50 per sent envelope.
  • New Unlimited Envelope accounts are available at $2,590.74 per user not prorated for FY 26 (July 7th 2025 to July 7th 2026).

Availability

Docusign signing capabilities are available to all OU faculty and staff with signature authority. Additional requests will be granted as availability permits.

Please note that OU IT does not transfer software licenses. If a user no longer needs a license, the department must cancel the license and get a new one for the replacement user.
