Canvas - How do I choose a Grading Scheme for a course?

A grading scheme is a set of criteria that measures varying levels of achievement in a course. Course-level grading schemes can be defined at both the course level and the assignment level. Without a grading scheme, scores are not measured against any specific standard.

You can enable an existing grading scheme for your course by editing your Course Settings. If you need to change your course grading scheme at any time, you can manage the grading schemes and find a new scheme.

Some colleges may have pre-defined grading schemes added in Canvas.  If you do not use one of those and would like to create your own grading scheme, please review the following article: How do I add a Grading Scheme in a Course?
