Using https://meetme.ouhsc.edu while on campus to join a video conference

I. Introduction

Using Polycom RealPresence Web Suite (https://meetme.ouhsc.edu) with Google Chrome to join a video conference while on campus connected to "HSCACCESS".  NOTE:  This will work with the other browsers listed below. 

Browser Requirements:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer - Version 11.0 for Windows
  • Microsoft Edge - Version 42.17134.1.0 for Windows 10
  • Google Chrome - Version 69.0.3497.92 for Windows and Mac
  • Apple Safari - Version 11.1.2 for Mac
  • Mozilla Firefox - Version 62 for Windows and Mac

II. Detailed Procedure for logging into https://meetme.ouhsc.edu .  NOTE:  https://meetme.ouhsc.edu is meant to REDIRECT to https://amds-plcmrpcamea.hsc.net.ou.edu as shown in the screen shots below.

1a.    If you are an OUHSC account holder, select "Registered User".  Fill in the "User name" field with "ouhsc\Username".  Type your "Password" and fill in the "# Meeting ID" field with the appropriate VMR (Virtual Meeting Room) number.  Select the "Continue" button.  There is no "Passcode" unless otherwise notified of one.

If you are an OUHSC account holder, select "Registered User".

1b.    If you ARE NOT an OUHSC account holder, select "Guest".  Fill in the "Name" field with "your name".  Fill in the "Email" field with "your personal email address".  Type the "# Meeting ID" field with the appropriate VMR (Virtual Meeting Room) number.  Select the "Continue" button.  There is no "Passcode" unless otherwise notified of one.

If you ARE NOT an OUHSC account holder, select "Guest"

2.    https://meetme.ouhsc.edu uses Polycom RealPresence Desktop as the client to connect to the VMR (# Meeting ID).  Select the "Open Launcher" button in order to launch the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software and connect to the meeting.  NOTE:  If you already have Polycom RPD installed, it will launch it.  If you DO NOT have Polycom RPD installed, it will install and then launch it.

 https://meetme.ouhsc.edu uses Polycom RealPresence Desktop as the client to connect to the VMR (# Meeting ID)

3a.    First, this Polycom RealPresence Desktop Launcher "Starting RealPresence Desktop..." window will appear when the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software is launching and trying to connect to the meeting.

3b.    Second, this Polycom RealPresence Desktop "Initializing default settings..." window will appear when the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software is launching and trying to connect to the meeting.

3c.    Third, this Polycom RealPresence Desktop "Joining meeting..." window will appear when the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software is preparing to join the meeting.

3d.    Lastly, this Polycom RealPresence Desktop "Connecting to VMR@meetus.ouhsc.edu" window will appear when the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software is trying to connect to the VMR "# Meeting ID".

Lastly, this Polycom RealPresence Desktop "Connecting to VMR@meetus.ouhsc.edu" window will appear when the Polycom RealPresence Desktop software is trying to connect to the VMR "# Meeting ID".

4.    The Polycom RealPresence Desktop is now connected the the VMR "# Meeting ID".
