RAVE Desktop Alert is now available. To install you will need to be on a University owned device.
Using Software Center you can install the RAVE Desktop client which is another way to receive certain emergency alerts on a computer. This could be helpful for Faculty that are teaching in class and might not see an alert of imminent threat to campus on their personal device.
Windows Install
- Click to Open or search (Tap your Windows key and type) Software Center.
- Click to open Software Center.
- Once Open, click the Applications tab.
- Click to select Rave Mobile Safety.
- Now click the Install button.
- Once installed an “OU” logo will be present in the notification area.
- In case of emergency that warrants an OU Alert be sent to the campus community, RAVE will automatically flash a message on users' screens, warning the campus community of imminent danger, such as a tornado warning. The user must be logged onto an OU server via WIFI or Ethernet connection to receive the desktop notification.
