Kaltura MyMedia V7 Player Introduction
We recently launched the new Kaltura MyMedia V7 Player. This player is used within both our Canvas Browse, Search, and Embed (BSE) tool and our main player on MyMedia.ou.edu. This new V7 player has the same functionality as the old V2 player, but a different player interface (where the buttons are located, how users can interact with the controls.)
As of now, not all players have been updated, but will be updated as we find them and scheduled for later dates. While we update the players, there is no expected loss of use for Media Players. If you are experiencing issues, please submit a ticket to the link below, with as much information as possible.
Useful information includes: player location, how it’s added (BSE embed, link, manual embed), if you own the content or are just trying to view it, and a detailed description of the issue.
We have currently not updated Quiz Player, Edit Player, or Manual Embed Players. Those are tentatively scheduled for a Winter Break/Spring Semester Update.
