For a university employee or student to have read-only access to production data in OU Health's Epic instance, the following steps must be followed:
NOTE: Access to OU Health's Epic data is allowable only to OU Health user accounts. If a user already has an OU Health account (OUH ID), skip to step #7.
- Identify a departmental manager or delegate that has been assigned an OUH ID. In the College of Medicine, for example, each business administrator should have an OUH ID. If nobody in your department has an OUH ID, please contact someone from you IT Mission Support team or submit a help request here.
- User must complete an OU Health Confidentiality and Security Agreement (See "CSA.pdf" attachment to right)
- The user's manager or delegate must fill out an OU Health AD Request Form here (For instructions, see "Request an OUH Account" attached). The user's CSA form must be attached to the request. Take note of the REQ or RITM number upon submission.
- Once the user's OUH account is created, OUH IT Security will inform the manager or delegate via their OUH email (For instructions, see "Job Aid – How to Access Cloud Based OUH Email Using Office Site" attached).
- User must set up OUH password (For instructions, see "EUD – Job Aid – How to Setup Your OUH Account Password" attached).
- User must set up Cidra, OU Health's multifactor authentication tool (For instructions, see "Tip Sheet – Cidra by Imprivata" attached)
- User can now request Epic Read Only access by completing the form here. (For instructions, see "Request Epic Read Only Access" attached)
If you have any issues or questions anytime with these steps, please call the OUH IT Service Desk 405-764-8000. You can also submit a ticket here. Keep track of all requests or tickets you enter or issue.
