How to install JMP Pro in MacOS

This article will guide your through installing JMP Pro in MacOS.

1. Go to https://itsoftware.ou.edu/jmp for instructions for download.
2. To begin, go to https://store.jmp.com/student/ and click Create a My JMP Account.
3. To register, please use the e-mail address you use to log in to school's/university's portal. Enter in your name, and then check your OU email to authorize your account.
4. Now that you have successfully created your My JMP ID, prrovide your course name, academic institution, and affiliation. Submit the form to get to the next step.
5. Select University of Oklahoma from the list and provide your login credentials as usual. No data will be transmitted, we just receive a notification that your login was successful.
6. You should now be able to select and order the free JMP Student Edition. The $0 product has already been added to your shopping cart. All you need to do is to click the "Checkout" button.
7. Continue with the checkout process and provide your shipping address, confirm the subscription agreement, and order your JMP Student Edition. Now click the "Place Order" button.
8. The site will now take ten up to ten minutes to configure permissions, you may then check the Software License page.
9. Scroll down to the “Install JMP” section and click on the “JMP Subscription Installer Download via My JMP” link. Select “Save link as…” from the pop-up menu.
10. Save the file (Do NOT change the name).
11. Download the JMP Software Depot to the Downloads folder on your computer.
12. Install JMP. You might have to give the JMP Installer access to the Desktop. See HERE for more information.
13. In the Downloads folder, browse to the /JMP/JMP/<version>/Macintosh directory and double‐click the installer. I.E. jmppro__<version>__mac.dmg or jmp__<version>__mac.dmg file or JMP-Installdmg. 
14. Double click to launch it. Your installer will now open. 
15. Keep the default settings and click “Continue”. 
16. Now click "Install".
17. Enter your username and computer password at the prompt and click Install Software. 
18. JMP will take a few minutes to install. 
19. Once JMP is finished installing, click “Close”. 
20. Navigate to the JMP Pro application and launch it.
21. When JMP is opened, it prompts you with an Open License prompt if JMP did not find a valid license in the sid_files folder during the installation. Click the "Open License" button and browse to the downloads folder and navigate to /JMP/sid_files/.

22. Locate the license JMPversion_order-number_TS-site-#_Mac_X64.txt file and click Choose or Open. 

23. You’ll receive a message stating the license was accepted. Click “OK”. 

24. JMP Pro is now installed and ready for use.
