The University of Oklahoma Information Technology department recommends all its students have an antivirus and malware scanner active on their personal computers. This helps ensure system and network security. The Windows 10 operating system ships with Windows Defender, which provides active malware and virus scanning.
No antivirus is 100% effective. To help protect your computer and OU account information, OU IT recommends our users set strong OUNet passwords, and use caution when clicking on links and opening attachments.
