Create a new screen capture recording in MyMedia.
Log in at mymedia.ou.edu with your OUNetID and password
At the top of the page, go to Add New > Kaltura Capture
If you have not downloaded and installed Kaltura Capture Desktop Recorder, you may do so now
- Once the Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder has been installed, you will have to launch it from the website (Repeat Add New > Kaltura Capture)
When Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder has been launched, you can start recording by pressing the red round button.
Make sure to:
- Select which screen (i.e. monitor) to capture, and whether it will be the full screen or a selected area
- If it is a selected area, you will be prompted to choose the area
- Select an audio source if applicable
Once you have made your selections, a countdown to the recording will appear, followed by a toolbar during the actual recording
​Click the Stop button (gray box) on the toolbar when you are finished. Then select Yes, Stop it
You will be taken to a preview of your screen capture, where you can watch it
- Here, you can also add a title, a description, and tags to the video
- Next, you can Save, Save & Upload, or, if desired, Delete the capture.
After Saving and Uploading, you will be taken to the library, in which you can find previous recordings and links to them.
