The exact timeline for this migration and creation of new users with @OU.EDU is still to be determined, but it will impact all existing objects in the HSC domain (e.g., users, workstations, servers, service accounts, security groups).

Upcoming Projects
OUHSC Windows Device Migration
As part of the "One OU" university-wide initiative to improve and streamline the way work, the OU Information Technology department will be moving Windows computers from the OUHSC domain to the SOONER domain from September 9th through September 20th.
What does this mean to me?
- You will need to login to your computer with the characters “ouhsc\” in front of your username (e.g. ouhsc\ZSMITH5). Alternatively, you can use your OUHSC email address as your username. Your computer should remember this after your first logon, but familiarize yourself with this formatting, as it will be useful in the future as other university systems move to the SOONER domain.
- You may receive errors connecting to departmental file shares and printers after this change. Please complete the College and Departmental Device Support Service Request.
- No other impacts are expected – your computer should look and feel just as it did before this change.
Why is this happening?
This is one of the first visible changes the University of Oklahoma will be making in an effort to get all OU users into a single domain. Eventually, all university employees and students will have an “@ou.edu” address for use with university systems and email. No other changes are being made to your "@ouhsc.edu" account, the systems you access, or your email at this time. The process to establish "One OU" domain is very complex and will happen in multiple phases over many months. We appreciate your patience and assistance as OU IT makes the necessary changes.
