Sharing Personal Information over Email

Sharing certain personal information through email can be dangerous. OU IT will NEVER ask you for your login information via email.

As email communications travel over some unencrypted network connections, it is never advisable to share any kind of information tied directly to your identity. This type of information includes passwords, social security numbers, and birthdays. This kind of identifying information can be intercepted, and used to steal your identity, or illegally access your account.

Please don’t share your personal information over email!
