How can I request access to a Team Collaboration site?
To request access:
Contact your Site Collection Administrator (SCA)
Contact the Service Desk:
Provide the URL
What access you are requesting: (Read only, read/write, full)
Who is your SCA
The Service Desk will have to verify your access with the SCA
Types of issues:
You are unable to add a document to a site or a list:
You need write access (
Contribute Rights
).
You do not see the +Add Document or +Add Item:
You can click on the
Documents
or
Events
or
Items
tab on the ribbon in the
Tools
group. If the
New…
is grayed out, you do not have
Contribute Rights
.
Follow the instructions above, requesting read/write access:
If you need to set rights on a library, you will need to have
full control
of the library.
If you need to set rights on a document, you will need to have
full control
of the document.
If you need to set rights on a list item such as a calendar entry, you will need to have
full control
of the list item.
