Phones at the University can be configured in different ways for long distance calling:

  • Long distance is disallowed, only local calls can be made.
  • Long distance calls can be made as long as a Personal Billing Code is entered.
  • Long distance calls can be made without a Personal Billing Code being needed. Long distance charges are directly applied to the department billing account on file for the phone in question.

If you are a faculty or staff member in need a Personal Billing Code for long distance billing use, please have your departmental billing account manager call the IT Helpdesk at 325-HELP (4357) and provide us with your name and the departmental CFS billing account to charge for the calls made with the billing code.
